Field Of Vision

Sometimes being a leader is tougher than winning

I want to tell y'all about this great new movie, "Field of Vision" . Wal-Mart and P&G came together to present this film for Family Movie Night. Field of Vision is a great way to teach kids that bullying is not ok. This movie shows that doing the right thing is important.

Working in an elementary school I see more bullying than I care to. Generally when teachers see it happening they put an immediate stop to it. The trouble is alot of it happens when the teachers and staff are not around. That is when it is super important for the kids that are involved or see it happening to tell someone. Remember y'all it is not tattling when it is keeping someone from being hurt.

Here is the trailer from Field Of Vision:

 SYNOPSIS (from Familymovienight.com)

Through mysterious footage captured on an old malfunctioning video camera, Sinclair High School's star quarterback, Tyler McFarland, learns that some of his teammates have been bullying Cory Walker, a troubled new transfer student. Aware that sharing this information with the coach might get his friends kicked off the team and ultimately cost the school the state championship, Tyler must choose what's more important: winning or doing what's right.
As these events unfold, the camera also reveals more surprising footage to Tyler's kid sister Lucy. She learns that Cory has a secret past, unknown even to him. Now Lucy must convince her mom (Faith Ford, Murphy Brown) and family that the camera's revealing insight is not a product of her imagination as she enlists their help to find the answers Cory so desperately needs. It's a compelling and intriguing story that shows both the challenges and rewards of doing the right thing even when it's tough to do.

The characters in Field of Vision are believable. Nothing in this movie is inappropriate for children so by all means make it a "Family Movie Night"
Field of Vision aired on June 11th on NBC but will be released on DVD in the future. This is one of those keepers in my book
