Vegan For Life

I was sent four awesome books from Da Capo Books for review. Today we are going to highlight the first:
"Vegan for Life: Everything You Need To Know To Be Healthy And Fit On A Plant Based Diet" by Jack Norris, RD and Virginia Messina, MPH, Rd

The Vegan diet is not just for those who want to help animals. It is also for those who wish to keep their bodies pure from unwanted growth hormones and chemicals of all sorts.

"Vegan For Life" answers  questions like are Vegan diets safe? It dispels myths about Vegan diets, teaches Vegan nutrient needs, and shows you how to get needed protein from plants.
"Vegan for Life" is full of helpful charts that show specific nutrients found in numerous fruits, nuts and vegetables. I love how easy this makes it to be sure you are getting the proper nutriention in your Vegan lifestyle.

Daily menu plan options are also included in "Vegan For Life". These are separated based on caloric intake.

These are some of the topics covered in "Vegan For Life":
Stocking the Vegan Pantry
Making the Transition to the Vegan Diet
Vegan Diets in Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Raising Vegan Children and Teens
Vegan Diets for those over Fifty
Health Benefits of a Vegan Diet
Sports Nutrition
Is it Safe to Eat Soy
Vegan Resource Guide
